Current Community Programs & Partnerships
Foothill Learning Academy
Eldorado Hills, CA – 2021 to Present
Foothill Learning Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit,California public benefit corporation that collaborates with independent instructors to offer high quality classes to home study students in the Sacramento, Ca region.
New Joy Arts partners with FLA as a vendor to teach art classes & offer project based classes that integrates the arts into various academic subjects.
Folsom CA – 2020 to Present
The Playmakers exists to enhance the lives of all kids and families through inclusive sports, community service and life-long relationships. Part of their mission is to keep every program and camp at zero cost to the participants and their families.
New Joy Arts partners with the staff and volunteers of Playmakers to offer arts integration and programming support to help students with disabilities to cultivate the creativity through events hosted by New Joy Arts at The Studio.
HART of Folsom
Folsom CA – 2019 to Present
HART of Folsom is a non-profit community-based volunteer organization assisting those experiencing homelessness in Folsom toward self-sufficiency and greater independence. They operate the Folsom Winter Shelter for 3 months each year The shelter is staffed by volunteers (over 350 last year) who commit to deliver the services needed to provide safety, shelter, food and transportation to individuals in need.
New Joy Arts partners with HART to provide art materials and creative activities for guests in the winter shelter while equipping volunteers to do this at various shelter sites. In addition to these donated materials and services, NJA has partnered with the staff at HART to create photo booth stations for their community walk fundraiser event. Through using New Joy Arts’ resources we are able to bring art to the most needy in our local community.
Meraki High School
Fair Oaks, CA – 2018 to Present
Meraki High School is a project-based learning environment rooted in students’ innate creative genius and innovation in order to prepare students to flourish on any path they choose.
New Joy Arts partners with Meraki to consult faculty & administration on cultivating community resources for project based learning. New Joy Arts offers art support & instruction, leads project planning seminars for students and tools for equipping mentors & parents with skills to offer one-on-one support to students as needed.
The Studio at Oak Hills
Folsom CA – 2016 to Present
The Studio is a dedicated community art space on the Oak Hills Church Campus that was created to help cultivate the creative capacity of individuals. Through the volunteer participation of local artists, The Studio offers regular classes and workshops on in a variety of creative mediums for people of all ages. New Joy Arts regularly collaborates and utilizes The Studio as a resource for mentoring artists and teaching classes for the community.
