The Playmakers exists to enhance the lives of all kids and families through inclusive sports, community service and life-long relationships. Part of their mission is to keep every program and camp at zero cost to the participants and their families.
New Joy Arts partners with the staff and volunteers of Playmakers to offer arts integration and programming support to help students with disabilities to cultivate the creativity through events hosted by New Joy Arts at The Studio.

New Joy Arts is an approved vendor with many local public Homeschool Charter Programs. Contact us if you can not find New Joy Arts on your list!

FLA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, collaborates with independent instructors to offer high quality classes to home study students in Cameron Park and Placerville, California. Their goal is to support parent participation in education by organizing superior enrichment and supplemental classes for homeschool and charter school families.
New Joy Arts partnered with FLA as independent vendor to teach Art Classes & offer Project Based Classes in various subjects integrating the arts for the local homeschool community.

Meraki High School is a project-based learning environment rooted in students’ innate creative genius and innovation in order to prepare students to flourish on any path they choose.
New Joy Arts partnered with Meraki to consult faculty & administration on cultivating community resources for project based learning. New Joy Arts offered art support & instruction, led project planning seminars for students and tools for equipping mentors & parents with skills to offer one-on-one support to students as needed.

Nestled along the banks of the Chilkat River rests an ancient Tlingit village called Klukwan which literally means “Eternal Village,” from the Tlingit phrase “Tlakw Aan”. Klukwan enjoys a multi-layered cultural history that is preserved through the Tlingit language, rituals, stories, oral histories, and subsistence activities practiced by the Chilkat Tlingits, a federally recognized tribe known as the Chilkat Indian Village.
New Joy Arts partnered with individuals working and serving the Chilkat Community to mentor and encourage their creativity in life and work. In 2019 Angela Houk spent one week with the community to come alongside local creatives, speak on creativity and teach workshops that explored the role of spirituality & personal expression through creative practices. Mr. Hammond’s Center for Project Based Wonder
Orangevale CA – 2018 to 2019
Mr. Hammond’s Center for Project Based Wonder is an experienced based learning environment dedicated to exploring creativity, music, writing and the natural world for students learning at home or at school. New Joy Arts partnered with this center to consult on developing new class offerings, connecting to creative community resources and teach nature drawing classes.

Almondale Academy is an experiential community school devoted to the virtues of service where educators engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection.
New Joy Arts partnered with Almondale as a creativity and project based learning consultant. Our role was to work with the administration and teaching staff to facilitate discussion as well as create workshops for their development. New Joy Arts offered visual arts, theater, music and a variety of other classes for students in K-12th grades.

The Twin Lakes Food Bank is dedicated to ensure that every individual, child, struggling student, homeless, or senior citizen who visits their campus will have access to adequate and nutritious food.
New Joy Arts partnered with TLFB and painted live during Twin Lakes’ annual fundraiser. The mural that was created on canvas celebrated the good work they do within the community and, once completed, was hung in the lobby of the welcome center and main offices.
